Psychiatric medication management
Psychiatric medication management services include routine outpatient psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and case consultation for both adults and youth.
During medication management visits, our providers will review the potential benefits and side effects of the medication and make adjustments as required. Although we do not provide counseling or psychotherapy, these services may also be recommended depending on the specific issue. Our providers can work with you to determine if medication could be a beneficial option to address your specific symptoms. While medication is not right for everyone, many clients do find success with prescription medication. For some of these individuals, medication is necessary only in the short term, while others may need long-term treatment for more chronic mental health issues.
Medication management for mental health is often different than medication management for physical issues. For psychiatric clients, regular consultations with their provider about their medication effectiveness over time is an ongoing process.
Idaho clients who are unable to come into Well Being’s offices can still be seen for medication management through telehealth appointments. All that is required is an internet-connected device and a private space from which to conduct your session. Our telehealth sessions are designed to ensure and protect patient privacy, and they deliver all of the benefits of our in-office sessions. Whether in-office or by telehealth, clients must be located in Idaho to complete their appointments.
